The Chateau was built by Albrecht of Kolovraty and Bezdružice in 1465 - 1474, and his descendants held it until 1573. It suffered major damage in the Thirty Years War. It was repaired around 1650, and remodelled in the early Baroque style and expanded between 1670 and 1680. It belonged to Schwarzenberg family from 1767 until 1924. The vast chateau compound is surrounded by three courtyards. The oldest core is enclosed by fortifications from the north and east. The dominating feature of the premises is undoubtedly the late Gothic tower. The House of Schwarzenberg coat of arms can be seen over the entrance gate from 1767. Refreshments are arranged for the visitors - "KONÍRNA" chateau pub, during the opening hours of the chateau. Follow the updated information here.
