Before we start our trip, it is good idea to remember that movement in the sandstone rock town can give you a whole new experience, but it also requires discipline, which all visitors must observe. That concerns children as well. This shall apply to the protection of the unique environment as well as to the protection of your own health.
Small Walls for small tourists (1 to 2.5 km). Our starting point is the village ofTisá. From here we will follow the red sign uphill for about 0.5 km towards the Tiské Walls, which are visible from far away. Here in the rocky square, we will find a box office, where we have to pay an entrance fee (keep the ticket as you will need it on your way back) and then we can set out for our journey to see the beauty of the local rocks. If you want to explore these rocks thoroughly, then purchase a rock town tourist guide at the box office. This guide contains detailed maps and names of all rocks and mountains. The closest and most easily reachable are the Malé stěny (Small Walls). We will take the educational trail that passes by the box office. This trail will take us through the rocky labyrinth. We take a left turn at the box office and climb uphill to Západní vyhlídka (West Viewing Post), which will show us the best views of the entire Tiské Walls area. Then we will go down again to explore the labyrinth of Malé stěny (Small Walls). You will need at least an hour to explore the Small Walls. When we finish the educational trail will take us back to the box office. If you want to see more take the educational trail in the opposite direction towards the Large Walls. We will enter the inside of the rock town with tall rocky columns and examine the world of rock pillars, towers, narrow ravines, caves and rock squares. Many of these bizarre shapes inspired the human imagination and, therefore, people created names for them, such as Napoleon's Boot, Elephant Carrying Cargo, the Raven's Nest and others. Exploration of this unique labyrinth of rocks will take at least 2 hours. Once we have had enough of wandering around, we can take the same path back to the box office.
