In the valley of the Bílina River, not very far from Trmice you will find the time-honoured village of Stadice. According to legend this is where ploughman Přemysl, who was summoned by Princess Libuše to join her on the royal throne, comes from. This legend has been depicted in many works of art. In Stadice you will be reminded of the legend by the local memorial dating back to 1841. It was built by the House of Nostic and their architect Staumann. The relief boards were made by the sculptor Josef Max. The memorial is situated at Královské pole and it was declared a national cultural heritage in 1962. There are several other reminders of this ancient legend in Stadice - Přemysl's farmstead, the King's Spring and Přemysl's Hazel.
