The starting point is the village of Chřibská. From the village with the neo-Gothic town hall surrounded by Art Nouveau houses, we shall take road No. 3052 along the Chřibská Kamenice River towards Dolní Chřibská. The western section of the city and all of Dolní Chřibská is an exceptional comprehensive set of ground-timbered houses with richly ornamented front facades. In Dolní Chřibská we turn towards Jetřichovice and after a short while, when we reach the village of Na Potoce , we turn left again and take a short but sharp climb around the rocks. Towards the end, our climb gets gradually less and less steep and when we reach the top of the hill "U křížku (At the cross)“ we will be rewarded with a nice view of the surrounding countryside. From the hill we go down a very steep slope through the village of Studený. After the village we continue on a rugged terrain through the villages of Lipnice, Kunratice and Pekelský Důl (Hellish Mine) Throughout our entire way from Chřibská to Česká Kamenice we ride along the border of the Natural parks in the Lužické Mountains and the Elbe sandstones and follow the signs on bike trail No. 3052.
In the northern part of Česká Kamenice we cannot overlook the pilgrimage Chapel of St. Anna surrounded by a four-wing cloister with a huge dome tower decorated with various statues. The historic heart of the city – the square with the Baroque fountain, City hall and the Church of St. Jakub belongs to the urban heritage protection zone. From the square we take bike trail No. 21, which follows the side road thus avoiding the E 442 main road. After several metres we leave the road going to Varnsdorf and join a smaller road with less traffic going towards Kytlice. What we are about to experience is undoubtedly one of the most impressive sections of our trip, the drive through the Kamenice River valley, which is lined on both sides with variously shaped sandstone rocks. We also pass by a natural monument Pustý zámek – Lonely Chateau – a rocky hill with a unique phenomenon: a nearly horizontal folding. When we enter the village Kytlice – Mlýny (Mills), we take a left turn towards Chřibská, Varnsdorf and climb up through the valley of Luční Brook. After a 4 km long steep climb we come out near a crossroad Křížový Buk – Cross Beech – a place where in 1757, most of the soldiers killed in the fierce battles between Prussia and the Austrian army were buried. Here we take a right along the main ridge of the Lužické Mountains towards Jedlová Railway Station. During our journey through the woods and along the foothills of Popel, Small Tisová, Big Tisová and Doe Mountain we pass through a rugged mountain terrain, alternately climbing and traversing. Along the way we will pass several stone bunkers from the "first Republic" era. To get to the Tolštejn Castle from the railway station in Jedlová, we must take a 1.5 km long uphill climb on a gravel path. The castle was built somewhere around the middle of the 13th century on a double rock knot. Today, we may only see the ruins of a castle here, but instead of the castle we see a restaurant and an observation post offering excellent views. If you still have some energy left, you may take a trip to the top of Jedlová (774 m). A restaurant has been built on the top of the third highest mountain of the Lužické Mountains. We may also enjoy excellent panoramic views from the 23 m high stone tower built in 1891 (CZK 10 cover charge). On our way to Jedlová we leave Tolštejnská Road and take a right turn and continue around the crossroads U ranče (Near the ranch) where we begin to climb uphill which gets gradually steeper and steeper. The last 300 m of the climb are very difficult even for experienced and physically fit bikers. We shall take the same road to go down to the Tolštejnská Road crossroad, where we take a turn towards Chřibská Railway Station. During our relaxing journey through the woods we go mostly downhill, until we join the road and then immediately make a sharp left turn. After the railway underpass we continue downhill until we reach Horní Chřibská . From here we travel on an almost straight road back to the square in Chřibská. Total length 44 km
