The current look of the chateau dates back to the last reconstruction from the end of the 19th century. The chateau comprises a four wing, one-storey building with a square courtyard. Vaulted ceilings from the 17th century have been preserved in the rooms on the ground floor.
The original stronghold that used to stand here was most probably built by Sekerové from Sedčice in the 16th century. At the end of the 17th century the stronghold was rebuilt into a Baroque chateau with a chapel by Karl of Paar. An English-style park was established by the chateau at that time. In 1860 the chateau was bought from Count Ervín of Neiperk by Antonín Dreher. During the Dreher era a second floor was built at the end of the 19th century. The Deher family owned the chateau until 1948.
Nowadays, the chateau houses a special needs school..
